Here are some things worth noting regarding your CLs:
The Concept - A Strategic Tipping Competition
The objective is to tip LOSERS rather than winners. You can tip in as many games as you like, but there is a penalty associated with incorrect tips. Therefore, there is some strategy involved in how many games you elect to tip the LOSER of. The term Certain Losers or CL (Boydy's Bare Arse Certain Losers) originated from a claim of Boydy's that if Freo beat North, he would bare his arse. They did. He did. Chapel Street revellers entertained.
Making Your Selections
- You can tip as many or as few Certain Losers as you like for each round
- Tipping will be closed off at the commencement of the first game of each round
Modifying Your Selections
- You can change your CLs at anytime prior to the commencement of the first game of the round
- You must re-enter ALL of your selections for the round
How Points Are Allocated
- Correctly Tipping a CL: Points equivalent to the losing margin will be added to your score
- Incorrect CL Selections: Points equivalent to TWICE the losing margin will be deducted from your score
- Finals Tipping: Double points are awarded in the Finals - for both correct and inccorect tips
- Draws: No points are allocated in the case of a drawn game
'In Camera' Tipping
- Tips can be hidden from others ('in camera') for Preliminary Finals and the Grand Final rounds
- The ladder leader after the Semi Finals round will be given the option of 'in camera' or the usual 'see all' tipping. The ladder leader's decision (totally at their discretion) will apply to all tipping for the Prelims and Grand Final.
